Currently developing
an innovative LifeDesign & Management System called "LifeCircles." The
System is directed toward working women to help create balance in
spiritual, personal, work and family responsibilities, and to create a
Life Design based on individual lifestyle and guiding principles. With
an anticipated debut in the Spring of 2009, the Manual, Workbook, and
Tools will be made available through the LifeCircles website (www.lifecirclessystem.com),
in addition to a line of designer accessories to contain and complement
the unique LifeCircles collection of tools and associated products.
Other projects
include a webzine and travel guides (www.hittheroadadventures.com),
featuring family driving adventures; and a webzine and creative guides (www.honeybstudio.com),
offering instruction sheets and video workshops for creative craft
projects.

SEWELL DESIGNS LLC,

Sewell Designs
LLC specialized in the design and creation of couture costuming for
competitive skaters, dancers, and entertainers. Known in the local and national
dance and figure skating community as the pre-eminent designer for
world-class competitors, Linda Sewell's unique designs showcased her
ability to skillfully interpret music, theme, and choreography in order
to perfectly complement the performer's style and presentation.
She also created boutique lines of ready-to-wear costumes and
accessories, in addition to designing all product identity, packaging, and
advertising to support sales through the web and at personal
appearances. Developed and presented costume seminars and interviews on
the importance of costuming the competitive performer, and was an
effective and entertaining speaker for personal appearances at trunk shows and other
organized fashion events.

HFDC, Inc./ Duitall Fabric Master,
Director of
Communications, September 1992 –
January 1994
Responsible for
development and implementation of marketing and communications functions
for manufacturer of home decorating products. Conceptualized and
produced new product identity, designed and illustrated new logos and
redesigned product packaging. Created communications vehicles such as
newsletters, flyers, print advertisements, sales kits, and training
manuals; wrote all copy as well as designing layout and preparing for
print production. Developed training certification and seminar
programs, and provided promotional support for sales representatives.
Planned and facilitated special events and classes to promote product
sales through fabric stores and specialty outlets. Wrote and illustrated a 28 page product “Idea Book,” resulting in the
largest order in the company’s history and placement in major fabric
and craft retailers. Identified and targeted new markets and proposed
strategies resulting in successful introduction of selected products
into the crafts and fashion accessories markets.

Fort Worth Convention & Visitors’ Bureau,
Communications
Specialist, March 1986 –
November 1988
Responsible for
visual communications and media support activities for public relations,
promotions, and advertising functions of the city’s tourism marketing
agency. Planned and implemented special events for the tour and
travel media, designed and edited city events calendar, bureau newsletters,
tourism brochures, and assisted in development of print advertising with
the bureau’s advertising agency. Also wrote and distributed press
releases and information kits, hosted city tours for travel writers and
dignitaries, coordinated with city attractions and hospitality industry
for tourism promotions, and served on planning committees for major city
events.

Additional relevant experience:
Taught/coached competitive artistic roller skating from 1974 - 1994.
Taught children's and senior citizen's crafts courses through Arlington
Recreation Center and various retirement homes. Mentored fashion
design students as part of Internship programs from 2000 - 2006.
